Gibson Hall is perhaps the most identifiable structure on Tulane University’s Uptown campus. It has been used as a backdrop for class photos since its construction in 1894, and it has remained the front door to campus. Over the course of its life, the building has evolved into an administrative hub which houses a dozen distinct departments and Tulane's welcome center.
The first phase of the Gibson Hall Programming and Allocation Study seeks to understand the needs of the current users of this historic building. The second phase will see the development and implementation of architectural and organizational strategies which will transform Gibson Hall into an ideal administrative and educational hub for Tulane University’s Uptown Campus.
